The Kenton Storm U13 Boys are Niagara Pioneer Champions!! The Kenton Storm U13 Boys played and won four close games over the past weekend at the Niagara Pioneer Tournament held at Ft. Niagara State Park. Saturday saw the team up against the Chili Cougars and Northstars Soccer Club. The boys won 3-2 and 3-1 against the respective teams. These wins put them in first place in their flight and in the Semi-Finals against Richmond Hill Raiders from Ontario. Kenton once again won 2-1 to move them onto the Championship Game against a special opponent, the Jackton Boys Club, from East Kilbride, Scotland. The boys were excited for the opportunity to meet and play against a team the caliber of Jackton. This game could have gone either way but was decided by one goal, scored on a beautiful header by Nick Clay off a strong corner kick delivered from Joe Lund. The final score was 1 - 0 Storm.
