- How much does it cost to play travel soccer?
The registration fee for travel soccer is $140 per player.
- What is included in the fee?
All league fees, referee fees, player insurance, administrative costs, and clinics. Kenton soccer association also provides a Director of Coaching who provides instruction to coaches and players.
- How much playing time should we expect for my son/daughter?
At U12 and below players should expect to play about half of the game. At U13 and older playing time is based on merit, commitment, and attendance.
- Are there any other fees associated with playing in the club?
The only other fees that would be expected from a player would be the cost of a uniform, if you don't currently have one, any outdoor tournaments that the team plans on attending, and indoor league fees if your team is going to play indoor soccer.
- How do I register?
You can register right on-line at our registration page.
- When are games played?
Games are played on different nights depending on the age group of the team.
- Where do we practice?
Indoor practices are conducted at gyms in the Kenmore area, and outdoor practices are held at local schools/parks.
- How often do we practice?
Teams typically practice 1-2 times per week.
- When does it start?
Most teams start in the late fall and practice throughout the winter in gyms indoors. The summer season begins in late April/early May and goes through late July.
- Can I participate in other sports and still play soccer?
Yes, but there normally is about a 2 day a week commitment to play travel soccer.
- What is the philosophy of the club?
Our club philosophy is based on developing the individual soccer player on a physical, mental, and social standpoint. Players also learn the importance of leadership, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Life lessons are always incorporated into the learning experience of our youth soccer program.
- How do I know that my coach is qualified?
All of our coaches are hired by our Director of Coaching. Coaches are screened to see if they not only have a good knowledge of soccer, but also have a passion for working with young people. All of our head coaches are USSF licensed coaches, and have obtained a risk management pass from New York State West.
- How are coaches selected?
Coaches apply for a coaching position each year. The coaches are then screened and offered a position by our Director of Coaching. Coaches are offered coaching positions based on their previous coaching experience and their ability to work well with young soccer players.
- What are my responsibilites as a parent?
In the simplest form parents are responsible for getting their son/daughter to games and practices on time. Parents are also responsible for providing positive reinforcement, reinforce good sportsmanship, and provide a good example to their son/daughter.
